On Thursday, October 23, 2014, from 6:00 pm to 8:15 pm, the City of Philadelphia Department of Public Property in cooperation with Councilwoman Jannie L. Blackwell and Deputy Mayor for Public Safety, Everett A. Gillison hosted a Community Meeting for the Public Safety Services Campus Project. The meeting was held at Philadelphia Juvenile Justice Services Center, Community Room, 48th Street and Haverford Avenue.
The purpose of the meeting was to 1) update residents and businesses about plans and schedule for construction of the Public Safety Services Campus at 4601 Market Street, and 2) to provide a forum for the community to comment on the plans and ask questions.
Of the 53 attendees, 26 (49 percent) completed an evaluation form providing their feedback on the meeting. Almost all respondents (96 percent) said their involvement in the meeting caused them to think positively about efforts to keep them informed. The same amount said the meeting provided enough opportunity for questions/input. And, 77% said the meeting increased their understanding of the project.
Meeting participant questions and comments with Project Teams responses are on the FAQ page.
